As of now, Russia’s powerful technology companies such as Yandex, Mail.ru Group and the Ramber have signed the landmark Anti-Piracy Database Agreement to get rid of different copyright infringement issues.

Hence, the event took place with Channel one, National media group, Gazprom-Media, Rambler group, the Internet Video Association, Yandex, Rambler Group, vKontakte, and the RuTube.

However, Google didn’t instantly come in the agreement because it has its compliances with the DMCA.

Hence, after every few minutes, operators search platforms will search the database for updating the information.

Further, within six hours, copyright infringement URL’s are said to be removed from the search results in Russia.

In addition, different companies such as Yandex, video, and RuTube will have to eliminate pirated content from their platforms.

“As a result of quite a lot of work, we have arrived at a historic moment when both content producers and content distributors unite their efforts in the fight against piracy,” Zharov said. As a result of this work, the [Russian Internet] will become the cleanest space for piracy in the world.”

However, different signature shows that the memorandum lines between copyright holders and Internet services providers can come at a standstill.
