On Monday 7th November, China has brought a new internet security law which is not different than the final nail in the coffin, as it already has the most strict internet censorship mechanism. After being one of the rigid and censored internet nation, the Chinese government decided to reach beyond the limits to protect the national unity, discourage foreign information flow, mass cyber attacks etc. According to this law, all the organizations in China are the ‘de-facto agents of the state’, which means they are compelled to store, record and share the users’ data with the Chinese government if required and asked. On the other hand, the director general of the country’s cyber security bureau, Zhao Zeliang said at a press conference on Monday that the new internet security measures should not be seen as a barrier to trade and the law was not designed to limit foreign technology and standards.
