Despite all these development, use of a VPN is above all. Due to its simplicity, most of the internet users are choosing VPNs. In this regard, we recommend you the most trustworthy VPN services; NordVPN and ExpressVPN.

    What Happened to BitTorrent?

However, BitTorrent was already an advanced technology at the time. The users were acquisitive to get different tools for the transmission of their files. The Azureus client which had multiple of features met the demands. Later it rebranded to Vuze.

In recent past, things have become comparatively silent; to the extent where Vuze development appears to have halted completely. No wonder, as two of the main developers, Parg, and TuxPaper, have quit the project. They have chosen to do something new.

“We are no longer involved in Vuze or Azureus Software, Inc. We can not speak to what their intentions are with the development of their product,”  said the developers.

Nevertheless, developers who were also associated with the original Azureus team are not turning down their code. Since they won’t be working on Vuze; They both decided to have a new Azureus branch. In fact, they are intended to maintain the branch actively.

What BiglyBT Has to Offer its Users?

BiglyBT, which is known to be the name of the new client, will continue where Vuze development stopped. In order to enhance the code and release new features; The developers are committed to keeping the open source project work. With no consideration of any commercial profits.

    Goals For BiglyBT:

The users who are going to endeavor the new client will observe that it’s considerably similar to Vuze. It’s actually better than Vuze. As it has no ads. It also does not have other ‘cluttering’ features for example  DVD-burning.

“Our main goals for BiglyBT is to keep it ad-free and open source and to continue to develop it into an even better torrent client. We also hope that a community will form again around the product.”

As BiglyBT looks and functions in a similar way to Vuze. The developers have a plan bring a new exotic set of features; a unique style, and many other variations. That will set its individuality.

“Our first release is mostly a name change, but we have removed some of the things that we know users don’t particularly want or use, such as the content network, games promotions, DVD burning, the huge ad in the corner of the app, and the offers in the installer.”

    Availability Of The Client:

The client is currently available on all major desktop platforms, including Windows, MacOS, and Linux. An open source Android app, forked from Vuze remote, will have it in a few weeks. The users can download the latest free version from the official website.
