A Glimpse on Yandex Piracy Blocking Appeal is Rejected By the Court

First of all, following the persistent complaints of different copyright holders, the Russian Giant Yandex has failed. Here, they are not able to keep ‘pirate’ links down to TV shows out of their search results.

On the contrary, Yandex rejected the approval and said that the search engines do not come under the existing legislation. Further, he said that the contents can only be removed by the hosting sites.

But, with a fear of their entire site being taken down, Yandex made a change in its decision. Hence, it removed every single content which was termed as illegal by the Moscow City Court.

While, a second appeal made by Yandex in association to links on the TV Show, ‘House Arrest’ also failed this very week.
