Talking about the first legal action on their site, it came into effect in the year 2017. Here, police arrested nine groups of people under the suspicion of violating copyright activities.

According to the Anime News Network, at one time, the site was the most famous one by the name ‘leech sites’.

Now, it’s more than a year and site’s operators are in jail. Also, the Osaka District Court handed the prison sentences of three years & six months for the main mastermind. For the server operator, he will serve three years sentence whereas another key person will serve a period of two years and four months.

“It is seriously meaningful that all three of the principal offenders have been sentenced to imprisonment. These heavy prison sentences sound alarm bells for similar cases and we, along with our member companies, will continue to take decisive action against malicious acts of copyright infringement in the future.” the company said.

Also, the Association of Copyright for Computer Software (ACCS) appreciated the sentences noting the illegal activities of three men.
