“DISH is awarded statutory damages of $90,199,000 under the FCA. The statutory damages are calculated at the parties’ agreed-upon $500 for each of the 180,398 subscribers that were acquired directly by Defendants and provided with unauthorized access to DISH’s television programming using Defendants’ SetTV streaming service. Defendants are jointly and severally liable for all damages awarded herein,” the judgment reads.

Hence, in the agreed judgment by the Florida Court, the demands of the Dish and NagraStar have now been met.

Further, the defendants are eagerly enjoying the case because they know that they have won, without any issue. Still, for other companies, they can’t really copy any of DISH network’s contents as they will have to face strict lawsuits by the company.

In addition, the DISH has even won the rights to take ownership of SETTV brand set-top boxes. And other applications, password in relation to SETTV service.

Additionally, it will hand over every single domain which includes the SETTVNOW.com and the SETBROADCAST.com.

Hence, after a series of allegations, finally, SETTV has shut off on a permanent basis. After which, their given services will either be brought by the DISH NETWORK. Or else, the things will go on the basis of Florida court’s decision.
