Canelo vs Jacobs on Fire Stick -Which Channels Though?

DAZN will serve as the official broadcaster for the epic fight at the T-Mobile Arena. Luckily, the channel has a dedicated app that you can easily download on your Amazon Fire Stick. But don’t get your hopes up just yet. Even if you have the DAZN’s app on FireStick that doesn’t mean that you can stream the fight or any other content outside the United States.

The problem is that DAZN checks your IP address before it allows you to access its streaming catalog. That way, the Netflix of sports can protect its content from copyright violations. Whenever you try to approach the channel while overseas, this geo-error message will pop up:

“DAZN isn’t available in this country.”

Don’t worry; we’ll be solving this issue later on in this article. But before we begin, there’s one more thing you need to know. Downloading the DAZN app on Fire Stick isn’t the only thing required to watch anything. You still need a valid subscription to the channel. DAZN costs 19.99$ a month. That includes all Bellator fights, boxing, and MLB. Not to mention the 5 year deal with Canelo Alvarez. Therefore, if you’re a fan of the Mexican striker, you know where he lives now. With that out of the way, it’s time to teach you how to circumvent the geo-restrictions imposed on DAZN abroad. Shall we?

How to Watch Canelo Vs Jacobs Live on FireStick with a VPN

As we mentioned, DAZN is not accessible outside the United States. That means you won’t be able to stream the fight on DAZN unless you use a VPN. With it, you’ll be able to workaround the geo-restrictions imposed on the channel with ease. You see, a VPN is an internet tool that can change your online location according to the server you connect to.

Think America, just connect to a server in the US, and you’re there. As simple as that. When you connect, you’ll obtain a US IP address, which will grant you access to all US-exclusive content wherever you are. Now, with this introduction, let’s head over to how you can watch the fight on FIreStick. Follow my lead:

  • First, subscribe to a VPN service. I highly recommend NordVPN as it has high-speed servers in the United States.
  • Download and install their dedicated VPN client on your Amazon Fire Stick.
  • Next, install the DAZN Application on your Fire Stick as well.
  • Now, sign in with your VPN credentials and connect to an American server:
  • Wait a few seconds until the “Connected” button lights up.
  • Launch the channel’s application, and stream Canelo vs. Jacobs live anywhere on Fire Stick.

Choosing NordVPN for this task is the best decision you could ever make. Not only does it bypass regional restrictions, but it also secures your devices from being hacked by cybercriminals. You can also check the list below and pick one of these best VPN for FireStick as an alternative.

Canelo Alvarez vs Daniel Jacobs -What to Expect

On May 4th, Unified middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez will put his trio of 160-pound titles on the line when he squares off against IBF champion Daniel Jacobs. It’s going to be hard stepping into the ring with someone like Canelo. However, Jacobs is no amateur as well. He’s a champion after all and has beaten a lot of top names in the industry before.

If Jacobs can deploy quick footwork, he can frustrate Canelo. Alvarez is likely to target the body early, looking to reap the rewards in the later rounds against a fading Jacobs, but if Jacobs can calm himself down, he might stand tall in the end.

Canelo is at a disadvantage here. That’s not because Jacobs is better, we all know what Alvarez is capable of, but he might be a bit cocky when he enters the Octagon. It’s going to be a chess match at the beginning, where Canelo will be underestimating the technical abilities of Jacobs.

On the other hand, our favorite Mexican is undefeated in 9 consecutive matches. I guess that he’s rebounding from the loss he suffered at the hands of Mayweather Jr. If Alvarez becomes frustrated early on in the fight, he’ll aim straight for Jacobs’ chin. If that’s the case, Daniel has to use his quick footwork around the ring to avoid being pinned down by one of Canelo’s onslaughts. Otherwise, TKO.

I know that our primary focus is the match between Alvarez and Daniel, but there are a lot of exciting matches on the card as well. Bilal Akkawy and John Ryder are set to go head-to-head for the WBA interim super-middleweight title. Moreover, unbeaten youngster, Vergil Ortiz Jr faces Mauricio Herrera.
