In particular, Google opposes Section 115(2B)(a)(ii) and (b)(ii) of the Bill, which would have the effect of removing the direct oversight of the Federal Court over the site blocking process and instead leave it to commercial entities to decide which websites Australian users may access.”
Hence, Google is concerned about the bill which is moving at a faster pace. It still has got no evidence and the current legislation is truly not supporting Google at any cost.
Further, the company is also concerned because there is no independent review of the same.

According to Google’s submission note, the Federal government always grants those injunctions when it is appropriate and follows orders.
Further, they even said that there doesn’t exist“cogent evidence” which can support the theory that extending the dates of site blocking will have an impact on the decreasing piracy rate in Australia.
Now, while Google is opposing such proposals, the Russian government is on the verge to implement a similar scheme. With this, Russia can enable the blocked sites to appear in search results all over the world.
