On 3rd of April the American President, Donald Trump has signed the repeal of internet privacy in US rules made during Obama presidency. As per the latest repeal of internet privacy in US, it seems that the ISPs have won the battle of controlling their users’ internet privacy in US and the netizens are freaking out with this attempt by the Trump presidency.

The American Congress passed the repeal of the broadband rules a week ago, without any support from Democrats and with substantial objections of privacy advocates. As per the newly signed bill, all the ISPs throughout the USA are allowed to sell their users’ data to third-party companies to generate dollars.

According to Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer, who urged President Trump to veto the bill, it will make users’ sensitive data available to the “highest bidder.”

“Signing this rollback into law would mean private data from our laptops, iPads, and even our cell phones would be fair game for internet companies to sell and make a fast buck,” Schumer said.

    HOW WILL IT AFFECT YOU?

After the new bill signed into law, all the ISPs throughout the USA can now collect, log and finally sell their users’ sensitive information such as;  location, financial, healthcare and browsing data from customers by default. In the current horrifying scenario where the internet privacy in US is lost, and their government decided to support the broadband providers; ISPs instead of the people, what option do American have now to secure their data online?
