China with the start of 2017 is going to promote the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in its economy to promote growth by inducing technological upgrades. As said by the Minister of Science and Technology, Wan Gang in a press conference held in Beijing on Saturday that China will soon release a development plan for Artificial Intelligence (AI). He further added that China would pay enhanced attention to promote the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in all of the major topics like deep learning, cross-border integration, human-machine coordination and group intelligence. As said by WanGang, “We have gathered experts from various fields to make an AI innovation and development plan to push for the use of AI in the economy, as well as social welfare, environmental protection and national security,” He also told the media that the Chinese government would allocate funds to support research and launch a platform to share the technology with the public. As explained by Wan Gang the government of China is focusing on the key technological projects which are going to be launched by the year 2030. These projects are related to various fields like quantum communication, quantum computer, big data and Internet security. The interesting fact here is that China already practices a severe and strict internet censorship policy currently and has the most strict type of censorship in China. Due to which thousands of websites are inaccessible within mainland China. Chinese government regulates and restricts the foreign websites in China by using world’s most strict Firewall, the Great Firewall of China (see the best VPN for China to get across the Great firewall of Chin and access everything in China). Implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) would make the system more advanced and only the best sustainable and advanced VPN services will work in China and let you unblock the web censorship in China. So the future of internet censorship in China looks terrible, but we hope some VPN services which are reliable and working now in China will make their way to battle off the internet censorship in future within the mainland China.
